I do like this board a lot though, it offers overclockers all the facilities we need to get the best out of the system, and you cant really expect much more from a motherboard, this along with Abit's experience in this market and there continual bug fixing BIOS updates and web presence ensures that the Abit KT7 series motherboards are winners in my eyes. My first experience with Abit kit was way back in when the BH6 and Celeron A was the overclocking combination to own. I like them alot. I must say I like Abit motherboards a lot, just about every motherboard I've had in the past few years, has been an Abit, I've gone from the BH6 through to the BE6 and now on with the KT7 series and they've all performed, and kept of performing consistently over the years.

Regarding kg7a HSF's on the Voodoo 5: The KT7A is a really great board. If an ETA is available it will be displayed on hover. Realistically, manufacturers will also have to make sure that their board design can work at the increased FSB. I wouldn't trust them on anything more powerful.

The power connector is also very nicely placed ktt7a that power cables will not run over the CPU and memory. I imagine it must be terribly noisy with the two blowers.

Others have also had issues with that variant. I am unaware of any patch through. If your board is newer than v1. Unfortunately the otherwise excellent layout is marred by the placement of the CPU socket too close to the right edge of the board, making CPU removal difficult once everything is installed in a case.

Rakd see's the drive with success and the slurring sound issue is gone! It's now ended with a PCI based sound card instead which is fine. I run one on a P Coppermine and the other on a Celeron It was already on this board before I got it.
